ISO 9001:2026 – The Revision Enters Its Final Phase

With the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) of ISO ISO 9001 - Quality Austria, the submitted comments have now been comprehensively reviewed and addressed. The development of the revised standard has therefore reached an important milestone.

Numerous contributions and discussions have been incorporated into the FDIS to ensure that ISO 9001 - Quality Austria is optimally aligned with current challenges and requirements. The publication of the revised standard is planned for september 2026.

One thing is already clear: ISO 9001:2026 will place greater emphasis on topics such as quality culture, ethical behaviour, and the relationship between risks and opportunities. The aim is to ensure that the standard remains relevant, practical and effective for organizations worldwide.
