World Quality Day 2025: „Quality: think differently”
This year, World Quality Day 2025 will be celebrated under the motto “Quality: Think differently.” The aim is to question traditional approaches to quality management and promote new ways of thinking and methods of quality. Quality Austria is joining in the celebrations and providing new food for thought on the revision of ISO 9001:2026.
As every year, World Quality Day raises our awareness that quality means much more than just compliance with norms and standards: Quality management is an integral part of strategy, corporate culture, and business success, and thus makes a decisive contribution to innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction in organizations.
Thomas Waldner, Business Development Integrated Management, Quality Austria Certification, on World Quality Day: "Quality is one of the most important pillars of corporate success and will remain so in the future, despite or precisely because of the current dynamics in our economy. In line with this year's World Quality Day motto, the focus now is on adapting processes to ISO 9001:2026 and rethinking them, because every company has its own individual challenges to overcome."
ISO 9001:2026 brings new aspects and changes for quality managers: The mandatory consideration of sustainability and a separate assessment of opportunities and risks will become an integral part of the revised standard in the new year. Quality culture, ethical behavior, and the role of leadership will also take on a new, relevant significance. With the Quality Austria Academy seminar ISO 9001:2026 in Practice – Fit for Revision, companies will be well prepared for this.
