Motivation and benefits

Supplier Qualification Management System (SQMS) is an internal McDonald's Standard for ensuring food safety and quality, applicable to companies who supply food products into the McDonald’s food chain.

Objectives

Verification of compliance with any Standard of the McDonald's „Supplier Quality Management System" (SQMS) as a prerequisite for supplying McDonald's restaurants and complete traceability of all products within hours to the very origins of their ingredients.  

Target group

Any company who supplies standard products into the McDonald's food chain. A successfully completed audit is a prerequisite for becoming a McDonald’s standard supplier.

Criteria

This Standard is based on current Food Standards (IFS, BRC, FSSC 22000) and contains additional McDonald's requirements. This Standard allows the assessment of conformity in the framework of GFSI audits (for example IFS, BRC, FSSC 22000).
