In a series of technical lectures, Quality Austria provides information on the revision of ISO 9001:2015. Each month, a key concept of the revision will be explained more profoundly. This month, Eckehard Bauer, MSc, and Wolfgang Hackenauer, MSc, explain the exciting topic of the statutory and regulatory requirements and show seven steps to legal certainty.
This section is not new as a requirement. As, however, it is presented as a Clause of its own, it has been upgraded, supplemented and extended. An organization shall ensure that employees that can make a contribution to the effectiveness of the quality management system (and whose failure to conform with the requirements can have implications) are aware of (bear in mind) what may “happen”, i.e. what impacts may be due to the fact that requirements are met badly or are not met at all.
In October/November 2015, ISO 45001 will become a DIS (Draft International Standard). This is the result of the ISO Work Meeting, which was held in September. ISO 45001 will be published between October 2016 and April 2017. The publication date depends on the time the international consensus will be reached.
The company Končar Ltd. was established in Zagreb in 1946 and produces low voltage electrical equipment for transmission and distribution electrical energy and for other electrical machines and devices in industry. The first Certificate for Quality Management System was issued in accordance with ISO 9001 on 15th of November 1995. An important milestone of the ICo-op project was the Intermediate report submitted to the Educational, Audiovisual and Cultural Executive Agency (EACEA) in April, 2013.
