Sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) management is a hot topic in integrated management systems. More and more laws are being passed around the world that oblige organizations to show their performance in certain sustainable areas and thus to assume more responsibility along the entire value chain.
As a result, consumers, business partners and investors are demanding more transparency regarding non-financial information. Organizations that want to expand or maintain their market position should therefore consider the potential impact of their own activities on the environment and society.
Trade labels have been established that use social responsibility as their core statement and the standard ONR 192500 has been approved. Quality Austria has already offered Social Responsibility training and certification since 2005 and is thus a pioneer in the field.
