The revision of ISO 9001 is currently in progress and with it a number of different innovations in the area of chances and risk management. Quality Austria offers companies an informative and compact seminar on the most important innovations and best practice implementation of ISO 9001:2026. Those who prepare now will already be ahead of the game in the fall of 2025!
Nearly every ISO 9001:2015 certified company in Austria is eagerly awaiting news of the ISO 9001:2026 revision, as it has important implications for their future quality management certification. Although the revision is not as extensive as the one in 2015, there are key changes that companies will need to implement in a timely manner. In our new Quality Austria Academy training course, “ISO 9001:2026 in Practice – Fit for the Revision,” our experts explain what is coming, what this means for companies, and what needs to be considered when making adjustments in order to remain certified.
Key topics covered in the seminar:
- Take a differentiated view of risks and chances: clear separation with guidelines for protection
- Integrating sustainability and climate protection: consideration of climate, environment, ethics and social responsibility - including Amendment 1 Reference
- Supply chain resilience: dealing with disruptions, supplier integration, and dynamic response strategies
- Knowledge management and quality culture: Values, ethics, mission and quality culture as new areas of focus
- Room for exchange: Face-to-face format offers additional opportunities for discussion on practical implementation and networking
Focus on risk management and sustainability
The London Declaration states that all standards, without exception, must address climate change. This has already been implemented in Amendment 02/2024 and is now fully integrated into the new revision.
In the future, extreme weather, unforeseen events and complex and dynamic challenges will continue to increase. This affects companies of all sizes and in all industries and means a major shift in risk-based management in our training, we discuss best practices and effective concepts for meeting the criteria of ISO 9001:2026. Please note: These changes are already an integral part of the standard and are therefore already officially valid!
Separately considered: chances and risks
Another new feature of ISO 9001:2026 is the clearer separation of risks and chances within the company. Since ISO 9001:2015, it has become apparent that companies have an increased need for risk analysis and management due to increasing digitalization, climate change, supply chain difficulties and other factors. In order to ensure the quality of goods and services, companies must evaluate their risks and consider chances independently – an important change for the implementation of the standard and for companies to set up quality management in a future-proof manner.
Conclusion: Preparation brings benefits
The seminar “ISO 9001:2026 in Practice – Ready for the Revision” offers quality managers, quality officers, executives, etc. early guidance, clarity, and certainty in adapting their quality management systems before the standard is published. Highly topical and relevant input with real additional value for quality managers and executives is guaranteed. Best practices and sustainable ideas will be discussed in the seminar in order to prepare perfectly for the next major revision. The new features of the standard also offer companies the unique opportunity not only to use ISO 9001 correctly and optimize existing content, but also to benefit greatly from greater security, improved processes, and the evaluation of new opportunities.
