News on the Draft International Standard
Update on the revision of ISO 9001:2026
As announced and published in October last year, a Committee Draft 2 (CD2) was inserted by the ISO Working Group to ensure the quality of the revision of ISO 9001. This CD2 was sent out to the national committees for comments on January 17, 2025 - the time window is still open until mid-March.
A Draft International Standard (DIS) will then be prepared on the basis of the comments, which will be launched with a meeting of Working Group 29 from March 31 to April 4, 2025 in Paris. The entire process will be led by the new convenor.
If the schedule holds, the DIS will be finalized in Q1 2026, which should lead to a scheduled publication of ISO 9001:2026 in Q3 2026. Further information and the official statement from ISO can be found here.
