Formal "systematic review" of standard ISO 9001:2015

ISO 9001 User Survey 2020

The International Standard ISO 9001 “Quality management systems — Requirements”, developed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is one of the most recognized standards (or normative documents) in the world. It is currently being reviewed for its relevance and usefulness.

The standard ISO 9001:2015 is currently undergoing a formal “systematic review”. Following the review, ISO/TC 176 will decide whether the standard should be “confirmed” (i.e. left unchanged), be revised or amended, or be withdrawn.

As an input to making the decision, ISO/TC 176 would like to obtain the views of users of ISO 9001:2015 on whether the standard is adequate, or if it should be improved. In addition, ISO/TC 176 has been giving consideration to “future concepts” for quality by testing the acceptability of such concepts with users, for potential inclusion in a future edition of ISO 9001. For this purpose, ISO/TC 176 established an online survey – ISO 9001 User Survey for 2020 – to obtain feedback.
