What accredited personal certificates are – and why they benefit companies
On June 9, 2025, World Accreditation Day is celebrated under the motto “Accreditation: Strengthening Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).” Accreditation is a state-recognized additional examination of a certification body under the strictest quality criteria and is therefore reserved for top performers only. Quality Austria Certification offers accredited certifications not only for management systems, products, and services, but also for individuals. We explain what accredited personal certificates are — and how companies, regardless of their size, can benefit from them!
Accreditation...the term is familiar!
The term “accreditation” is often associated with press accreditation at events. But no, accreditation in the context of personal certificates means something else. In a lot of Quality Austria Academy training courses, participants receive an accredited personal certificate upon completion. These certificates from Quality Austria Certification are recognized by Akkreditierung Austria as part of the Federal Ministry and are therefore valid worldwide. They show that someone has proven certain skills and knowledge and are therefore considered official certificates.
Since Quality Austria Certification is itself recognized by the Ministry of Economy (Akkreditierung Austria), the company is authorized to issue officially valid certificates to individuals who demonstrate the highest professional quality. The accreditation thus serves as a verification of the examination body, thereby guaranteeing the qualifications of graduates without any doubt.
Highly trained employees – promoting trust, creating responsibility
With an accredited personal certificate, your employees naturally have a wide range of opportunities - and can get started as lead auditors, quality managers, or in other top positions. With an accredited certificate - usually recognizable by the official “accreditation eagle” - you are quite literally giving them wings.
But you give them something even more important that keeps them in the company and binds them to it: more responsibility, international and prestigious projects, as well as recognition, opportunities for advancement and trust. Certified, satisfied, and valued employees stand out, are internationally active, and can work flexibly - and are happy to stay in companies that enable them to do so.
Accredited personal certificates – what are the benefits for companies?
Companies benefit in the long term from the competitive advantage gained by employees who are trained according to strict quality criteria. Accredited personal certificates guarantee the highest level of training and keep expertise up to date through mandatory recertification (known as “refreshers” at our company). International recognition, the trust of customers, partners and stakeholders, and secured sales thanks to qualified personnel are a real boost for companies. An existing management system (e.g., ISO 9001) is often a mandatory requirement in tenders, for example. Compliance with legal and industry-specific requirements is also guaranteed with accredited personal certificates.
