Austrian Foundation for Quality Management (AFQM)

Since 1996 the Austrian Foundation for Quality Management (AFQM) and Quality Austria are responsible for organizing the Austrian Excellence Award. The Austrian Excellence Award is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism.

Many Austrian Companies are excellent.

For more than 20 years AFQM and Quality Austria offer an interactive network and exchange of excellence knowledge in Austria. One of its central tasks consists in fostering exchange of best practice among companies and non-profit organizations.

History

The Austrian Foundation for Quality Management AFQM was founded in 1995 as an independent non-profit association. AFQM is an initiative for the promotion of living Excellence. Its mission is to invigorate the local economy. Its central goal is to guide national profit and non-profit organizations from all sectors and of all sizes on the path to outstanding achievements using the Excellence Model.

2004

On 23 March 2004 at a joint board meeting, all four organizations agree upon the following share ownership of Quality Austria as signed by the Presidents and duly notarized: OQS 59%, OVQ 30%, OQA 8% und AFQM 3%.

1995

The AFQM is founded on the initiative of the Austrian industry to promote Excellence in Austrian organizations.

Membership

Is corporate quality important to you? Then become a member of the AFQM Association with your company. All Austrian companies can become members of the AFQM Association, joining the association is possible at any time. Please send us the completed membership form (German) by e-mail.

Benefits

With your contribution, you support measures to strengthen the corporate quality in Austria. As a member of the AFQM Association, you are part of the Excellence Community in Austria and help to ensure that, for example, even young companies or small and medium-sized enterprises are dealing with all aspects of corporate quality.

Membership fee

Your membership fee is to be understood as a promotion contribution. It is based on the annual turnover of your company or in case of non-profit organisations it is based on the annual budget. Please select one of the following categories accordingly:
